Frugal Advent Calendar!

Celebrating the holidays doesn't have to mean going broke. I think my kids will probably remember activities more than gifts when they grow up, and there are tons of holiday traditions that are pretty much FREE!!!

My 5 year old daughter made this frugal advent calendar for the holidays. She is cutting off a ring off every day between December 1st and Christmas! You can easily make this at home out of even plain paper and color, and have your child cut a ring off every day. She already cut off a ring today.

We also have a very small Christmas Tree (still in storage--I will bring it out today) and every day between now and Christmas we will hang a different ornament on the tree. Some of these ornaments were home-made.
