Finally watched Extreme Couponers lol

I have to say that I think it was all staged for the show because it kinda seemed like none of the couponers had ever purchased that much all at once. You could tell it was staged by the way the first chick stressed at the check-out when the Kroger computer crashed from the number of coupons. ***Udate.....turns out the show was completely staged. Manders13 from AFC is www.amandaostrowski.com and she said she filmed over 20 hours and they cut it down to 9 minutes of her stressing out. Her items were all pre-ordered but TLC wanted the couponers to make it look like they were taking the yakisoba off the shelves. (And the 1100 boxes of cereal.) The show didn't show how they donate their overstock. It was interesting to see how Kroger's system cuts off at 500 coupons and then crashes. I also have to mention that stockpiling salad dressing is iffy b/c it totally expires. Last year we had several bottles of free Kraft dressing and we gave most of it away and used it as meat marinades because of the ridiculously short shelf life. I also hope that Mr. Coupon got a big fat tax write off on that donation that cost over $100 oop!!! I did enjoy watching as lurkers were amazed at everyones' savings. Usually there aren't cameras everywhere when a couponer shops and I'm not sure if doing jumping jacks at the check-out is politically correct LOL. Sometimes I do feel like breaking out a Jim Carey impersonation though tee hee.
