I finally got my bread! Why (Tiffany) called to tell me that they would no longer be carrying the .99 bread is a tad bit puzzling and it was also strange that the shelf tags had also been removed. Thanks to all who confirmed that they found it at other stores. (Healthy Life bread is on special for .99 I guess for the 1/2 loaf until January 4th and there is a .50/1 in the 10/4 SS so with doubles that means free bread as long as you can find it. Crest and Kraft dressing were also free thanks to my Kroger mailer coupons. )
I think in the future I will avoid Kroger's last night 'self check out' system because it is so hard to use coupons with it (cashier has to force 'em), and the last time a coupon didn't take I had to go back to cs during regular hours and it didn't double so I was out of .50 cents.
It was nice chatting with checker Janine who works at the local library and asked if I'd be interesting in teaching a couponing class. My first bit of advice to anyone interested in couponing is to start collecting inserts and reading the weekly sales match-ups in advance. Janine also said that you can print coupons at the library--which is AWESOME!
