DH did his best at Publix, but for some reason he came home with energizer batteries instead of Duracell. Men. They just don't listen. He bought an 8 pack of Energizers for $4.19 after saving $1.50, so he tried. Course he totally ignored the handful of Duracell coupons I gave him.
I made him drive me back to the store and I walked (hobbled) for the first time in a week into a store (well I went in a wheelchair on Sat) and I exchanged his 1 pack of energizer batteries for 5 packs of Duracells. And my total was only $.27 higher for all 5 packs. LOL. Course my total would have been SIGNIFICANTLY lower had I recycled over the weekend. (Then he tells me in the car when we get home that he picked up some newspapers for me and they're in the garage. Just fab.)
To hubby's credit, he did get me a fantastic knee brace & 7 boxes of Kashi waffles free after coupons since today was the last day of the sale. He also made a delicious pasta dinner and has really helped me out with the kids. He also bought chocolate milk for the kids, which both sucked down from top to bottom!
