I enjoy trying to figure out a way to always get the penny item by getting 10 bucks worth of free stuff after coupons. Tonight, I got:
4 more Raids, because my FIL has roaches in his camper!!!!!?? EK!
Free with .11 overage each, except the tax on those things is insane!!!!! 3.89 each (Used 2/1 Publix and 2/1 manuf coupons on each so free)
2 Diguirno flat bread melts 2.50 each (used free coupons so free)
1 Honey Nut cheerios bowl $1 (really didn't have to but I did anyway) used 1/1 so free
1 Axe conditioner clearanced to 1.75 used 2/1 so free (will have to do more of these!!!)
2 Reach toothbrushes 2.89 (used 2/1 ip and 1/1 publix coupon so free)
Penny item was tortilla chips.....01 (free w/ overage LOL!)
***Note, I could hang on to some of these coupons for next week's challenge, but usually when I have a coupon for something free I like to go ahead and use it so I can move on to the next deal. Also it doesn't really help me on these items if they go bogo to hang on to the coupons for later--also most were about to expire.
***Note, I technically could've gotten 4 bags of chips w/ my total, but I had the kids with me and wasn't going to do separate transactions.
