On the way home from a bday party today, I stopped at a different Walmart than the one I regularly shop at. I wanted to see if they had any clearance clothes for kids marked down to $1--which they did NOT. (Weird, b/c they were selling the same stuff the other store had for $3. Whatever.) It started pouring rain, so I was stuck inside and was forced to work some other deals. After looking around I did find that they had the Adam's flea collars for .97 cents. Woo hoo! So here's what I got:
8 JJ first aid kits .97 each (used 4 3/1 coupons giving me $4 overage)
5 Adam's flea collars .97 each (used 5 3/1 Adam's coupons giving me $10 in overage)
4 crayola crayons at .25 each (so $1)
2 table cloths $3 each (so $6)
2 cups $1.50 each (so $3)
1 jump rope $1
2 tee shirts $2 each (so $4)
Total was .61 cents plus tax after all of my coupons.
At check-out, the cashier started to question my coupons right when I handed them to her. She even called her manager over to approve them. I could tell that the manager was obviously trained in coupon acceptance but the cashier wasn't. They still had me and my 2 kids waiting around FOREVER while they examined everything on my coupons.
I told the cashier that I use coupons for exactly this reason--to get things for free. And she made it out like they were things that I would not regularly use!!! LOL!
(Oh, and I got a Crest and a Great Value bar both free in the mail today too.)
